Day 1-2: Auckland – The City of Sails

Where to Stay: The Hotel Britomart

My journey began in Auckland, the bustling gateway to New Zealand. Staying at The Hotel Britomart was a fantastic choice. This eco-friendly hotel is located in the heart of the city, close to the waterfront, making it easy to explore the vibrant city life.

What to Do:

Sky Tower: Start your adventure with a visit to the Sky Tower for panoramic views of the city and beyond.

Auckland War Memorial Museum: Dive into New Zealand’s history and Maori culture.

Day 3-4: Rotorua – Geothermal Wonders and Maori Culture

Where to Stay: Solitaire Lodge

Next, I headed to Rotorua, known for its geothermal activity and rich Maori heritage. Solitaire Lodge, with its stunning lake views and luxurious accommodations, was the perfect place to relax and enjoy the natural beauty.

Huka Falls: Witness the power of the Huka Falls.

Tongariro Alpine Crossing: If you’re up for it, this is one of the best day hikes in the world.

Lake Activities: Enjoy boating, fishing, or simply relaxing by the lake.

Day 7-8: Wellington – The Coolest Little Capital

Where to Stay: QT Wellington

Wellington, New Zealand’s capital, is a vibrant city with a thriving arts scene. QT Wellington, with its quirky design and central location, was an ideal base to explore the city.

Day 9-10: Nelson – Gateway to the Abel Tasman

From Wellington, I took a short flight to Nelson, the gateway to the stunning Abel Tasman National Park. Staying at Edenhouse, a luxurious country house, provided a serene and elegant setting.
